Description

A delightful appetizer featuring creamy brie, sweet apple butter, fresh apples, and crunchy candied pecans on toasted baguette slices.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, cut into ½-inch slices
  • 1 jar apple butter
  • 6 ounces brie, sliced thin
  • 2 large apples, thinly sliced
  • A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup candied pecans, chopped
  • Honey, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread about 1–2 teaspoons of apple butter on one side of each baguette slice.
  3. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
  4. Layer a thin slice of brie on top of each baguette slice.
  5. Bake the crostini in the preheated oven for 5–7 minutes.
  6. While the crostini bakes, prepare the apples by slicing them and squeezing lemon juice over the slices.
  7. Remove the crostini from the oven and top each with a slice of apple, chopped candied pecans, and drizzle honey.
  8. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Allow the baguette to sit at room temperature for easier slicing and even texture. Experiment with different nut varieties to customize your crostini.
