A delightful appetizer featuring creamy brie, sweet apple butter, fresh apples, and crunchy candied pecans on toasted baguette slices.
Ingredients
- 1 baguette, cut into ½-inch slices
- 1 jar apple butter
- 6 ounces brie, sliced thin
- 2 large apples, thinly sliced
- A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- ½ cup candied pecans, chopped
- Honey, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread about 1–2 teaspoons of apple butter on one side of each baguette slice.
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
- Layer a thin slice of brie on top of each baguette slice.
- Bake the crostini in the preheated oven for 5–7 minutes.
- While the crostini bakes, prepare the apples by slicing them and squeezing lemon juice over the slices.
- Remove the crostini from the oven and top each with a slice of apple, chopped candied pecans, and drizzle honey.
- Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Allow the baguette to sit at room temperature for easier slicing and even texture. Experiment with different nut varieties to customize your crostini.
