Description
Deliciously soft cinnamon rolls made effortlessly in a bread machine, topped with creamy frosting.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Warm water
- 1/2 cup Warm milk
- 1 Egg
- 6 tbsp melted or softened butter
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 3 3/4 cup Bread flour (or all-purpose flour)
- 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (room temp)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Start the bread machine on the dough cycle (about 1 hour).
- Lightly flour a surface and roll the dough into a large rectangle.
- Mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon (and nutmeg if using) in a bowl and spread it over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into individual rolls.
- Place the rolls in a baking dish, allowing space for rising.
- Let rolls rise in a warm spot for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- While warm, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and lemon juice to create frosting and drizzle over rolls.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the microwave for better texture.
