Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 jar marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
- Serve the meatballs with marinara sauce over pasta or in a sub sandwich.
Notes
Let the meatballs rest for a few minutes after baking to allow the juices to redistribute. For a crispier exterior, broil the meatballs for a few additional minutes after baking.
