A delightful combination of blackberry preserves and crunchy pistachios in a buttery bar that captures nostalgia and comfort.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup blackberry preserves
- 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt until combined.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust.
- Spread the blackberry preserves evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the chopped pistachios over the preserves.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the top of the pistachios.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
