A creamy, cheesy cauliflower au gratin that’s perfect for family gatherings and cozy dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the cauliflower florets in boiling water for 5 minutes until tender and then drain.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat; stir in the flour to form a roux.
- Gradually add the heavy cream, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; stir until the cheese melts.
- Combine the cheese sauce with the cauliflower and transfer it to a baking dish.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For added crunch, consider toasting breadcrumbs to sprinkle on top before baking.
