Description

A creamy, cheesy cauliflower au gratin that’s perfect for family gatherings and cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the cauliflower florets in boiling water for 5 minutes until tender and then drain.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat; stir in the flour to form a roux.
  4. Gradually add the heavy cream, stirring constantly until thickened.
  5. Add the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; stir until the cheese melts.
  6. Combine the cheese sauce with the cauliflower and transfer it to a baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
