Description

A comforting dish of tender flank steak coated in a savory garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1300g flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 4 stalks green onions, green parts only, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup beef stock
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ginger, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced


Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak into 1/4-inch strips and coat with cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Chop the green onions and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine beef stock, light soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic. Set aside.
  4. Fry the beef until golden brown for about 4 minutes and set aside.
  5. Add the premixed sauce to the pan, sprinkle in cornstarch, and stir to thicken.
  6. Add the beef back to the pan and stir until evenly coated.
  7. Lastly, add the green onions and give it a stir to combine.
