- Green onions, chopped, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (25 grams)
- Garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams)
- Onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams)
- Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season beef brisket with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place brisket in a baking dish and cover with barbecue sauce.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 3-4 hours until tender.
- Remove brisket from the oven, shred with forks, and set aside.
- Cook beef bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
- Drain bacon on paper towels and crumble when cool.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Gently fold in shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions.
- Preheat a waffle iron and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.
- Pour batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crisp.
- Remove waffles and cut into quarters.
