Description

Deliciously simple banana oatmeal bars, perfect for breakfast or snacks, combining the comforting flavors of bananas, nut butter, and oats.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups mashed bananas (approximately 3 bananas)
  • ½ cup nut butter
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Combine the mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir until everything is well mixed.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the lined baking pan and flatten it into an even layer, sprinkling extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
  5. Bake the bars for 18 to 20 minutes or until the edges turn golden and the middle appears set.
  6. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for maximum sweetness. Experiment with different nut butters and add-ins like nuts or seeds for variety.
