Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Add melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; beat until well combined.
  5. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa in another bowl.
  6. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Stir in milk and optional chocolate chips.
  8. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  9. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; sprinkle over the batter.
  10. Dot with small pieces of butter.
  11. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
