Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; beat until well combined.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa in another bowl.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in milk and optional chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; sprinkle over the batter.
- Dot with small pieces of butter.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a cooling rack.
