Description

A delightful treat that combines the moistness of banana bread with the rich chocolaty goodness of brownies, perfect for banana lovers and chocolate aficionados.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium overripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Smash the overripe bananas until they reach a smooth consistency.
  2. Add the melted butter to the bananas, stirring until well combined.
  3. Mix in granulated sugar and brown sugar, and continue stirring for a few minutes.
  4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
  6. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Melt the additional two tablespoons of butter and drizzle it over the batter before placing it in the oven.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares and serving.
