Delicious and healthy Baked Greek Turkey Meatballs paired with a refreshing homemade tzatziki sauce, perfect for sharing at gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 cucumber, grated (for tzatziki sauce)
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (for tzatziki sauce)
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (for tzatziki sauce)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (for tzatziki sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together ground turkey, feta cheese, garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, egg, and parsley until just combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
- For the tzatziki sauce, combine grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, dill, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
- Serve meatballs warm with tzatziki sauce.
Notes
If the meatball mixture is too moist, add more breadcrumbs; if too dry, add a bit of olive oil. Experiment with herbs and spices to customize flavor.
