- Rub the spice mixture evenly over the venison tenderloin.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the venison tenderloin in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the tenderloin from the skillet and let it cool slightly.
- Wrap the tenderloin with turkey bacon slices, slightly overlapping each piece.
- Secure the bacon with toothpicks if necessary.
- In another small bowl, combine soy sauce and maple syrup.
- Brush the soy sauce and maple syrup mixture over the bacon-wrapped tenderloin.
- Place the tenderloin on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Let the tenderloin rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve the bacon-wrapped venison tenderloin.
Notes
- Marinate venison tenderloin in a mixture of soy sauce and maple syrup for 1-2 hours before cooking for a more flavorful result.
- Let the tenderloin rest after baking to allow juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy and tender outcome.
- Consider using hickory or applewood smoked bacon for a smoky flavor twist instead of turkey bacon.
