Instructions

1. Cook 1 lb (450 g) of ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned.

2. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

3. Arrange 2 lbs (900 g) of frozen tater tots on a baking sheet.

4. Bake the tater tots in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until crispy.

5. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups (200 g) of shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup (120 ml) of mayonnaise, 1/4 cup (60 ml) of ketchup, and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of mustard.

6. Add the cooked ground beef to the cheese mixture and stir well.

7. Remove the tater tots from the oven and let them cool slightly.

8. Mold the tater tots into cone shapes while they are still warm.

9. Fill each tater tot cone with the beef and cheese mixture.

10. In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup (50 g) of shredded lettuce, 1/2 cup (75 g) of diced tomato, 1/4 cup (40 g) of finely chopped onion, and 1/4 cup (40 g) of diced pickles.

11. Season the vegetable mixture with 1 teaspoon (5 g) of salt, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) of black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) of garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) of onion powder.

12. Top each filled tater tot cone with the seasoned vegetable mixture.

13. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

14. Fry the stuffed cones in the hot oil until golden brown and heated through.

15. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.

Notes

1. For a spicier kick, add a bit more mustard to the beef and cheese mixture or sprinkle in some onion powder for depth.
2. To shape the tater tots into cones, use a small glass or cup as a mold while they are still warm and pliable.
3. If the cones are too fragile, pack the tater tots a bit tighter when shaping to ensure they hold together during frying.
4. Store any leftover cones in an airtight container and reheat in the oven to maintain their crispiness.
