Ingredients
- 2 pounds (907 g) red potatoes, halved
- 2 Tablespoon (30 ml) s butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) ranch dressing mix
- 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cheddar cheese
- Parsley for garnish (optional )
Instructions
- Set your oven to 350 degrees and coat a baking sheet with a nonstick spray for preparation.
- Fill a large pot with water, bring it to a boil, and cook the potatoes until they are soft, roughly 10 minutes.
- Arrange the halved potatoes on the greased baking sheet.
- Flatten each potato using a fork or potato masher.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter and ranch dressing powder.
- Evenly distribute the butter mixture over the smashed potatoes.
- Bake the potatoes for 15 minutes, then take them out and scatter the cheese over them.
- Return the potatoes to the oven and allow them to bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- Let them cool a bit before serving. Optionally, add parsley on top as a garnish.
