Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (907 g) red potatoes, halved
  • 2 Tablespoon (30 ml) s butter, melted
  • 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cheddar cheese
  • Parsley for garnish (optional )


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350 degrees and coat a baking sheet with a nonstick spray for preparation.
  2. Fill a large pot with water, bring it to a boil, and cook the potatoes until they are soft, roughly 10 minutes.
  3. Arrange the halved potatoes on the greased baking sheet.
  4. Flatten each potato using a fork or potato masher.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter and ranch dressing powder.
  6. Evenly distribute the butter mixture over the smashed potatoes.
  7. Bake the potatoes for 15 minutes, then take them out and scatter the cheese over them.
  8. Return the potatoes to the oven and allow them to bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Let them cool a bit before serving. Optionally, add parsley on top as a garnish.
