Description

Delicious and nostalgic apple fritter bites that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well blended.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples, ensuring even distribution throughout the batter.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Using a spoon, drop small amounts of the batter into the hot oil. Fry in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix sweet and tart apples, and consider adding spices like nutmeg or ginger.
