Description

Delicious and fluffy apple cinnamon rolls filled with apple pie filling and topped with creamy frosting.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar


Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm, then add yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add the milk mixture and egg, then mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread apple pie filling evenly.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon, roll the dough tightly, and cut into rolls.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes.
  8. For the frosting, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Drizzle the cream cheese frosting over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for best flavor. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour.
