Description

A delightful bread featuring tender apples and a cinnamon-spiced batter, topped with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for sprinkling)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for sprinkling)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk together until well combined.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until they blend smoothly.
  5. Gently fold the chopped apples into the batter, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping and sprinkle half over the batter.
  8. Add the remaining batter on top, followed by the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Swirl with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Notes

Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes to set before removing. For extra flavor, try using a mix of apple types.
