Description
Delicious and comforting keto turkey meatballs in a creamy sauce, perfect for a low-carb lifestyle.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons parsley, chopped
- 1 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, cut from the block
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Combine ground turkey, egg, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and parsley in a bowl. Mix until well incorporated, though the mixture will be sticky.
- Oil your hands, then roll the seasoned turkey into meatballs about the diameter of a quarter.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Add the meatballs, ensuring not to overcrowd them. Cook on all sides until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside. Lower the heat to medium-low.
- In the same skillet, reduce any excess grease, then add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet, allowing them to swim in the creamy sauce.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven briefly to brown the top slightly.
- Garnish with leftover parsley and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding herbs like oregano or thyme. Adjust sauce thickness with cream as needed.
