Ingredients
- – 4 whole bell peppers (600g)
- – 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
- – 1 small onion diced (150g)
- – 1 pound lean ground beef (450g)
- – 1 15 ounce can of diced tomatoes (425g)
- – 1 8 ounce can of tomato sauce (225g)
- – 2 cups rice cooked (400g)
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Italian Seasoning
- – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
- – salt and pepper
- – 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded (200g)
Instructions
- Begin by cutting off the tops of the bell peppers and removing the seeds and membranes from inside.
- In a medium pan on medium-high heat, pour in the olive oil and add the chopped onion. Sauté until it’s nearly soft.
- Introduce the ground beef to the pan and cook, breaking it apart, until it loses its pink color.
- Mix in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, cooked rice, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and some salt and pepper.
- Fill the hollowed peppers with the prepared mixture and arrange them in the air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 360 degrees and cook the peppers until they become tender, approximately 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the peppers and continue cooking for an extra 2-3 minutes.
