  • – 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
  • – 1 small onion diced (150g)
  • – 1 pound lean ground beef (450g)
  • – 1 15 ounce can of diced tomatoes (425g)
  • – 1 8 ounce can of tomato sauce (225g)
  • – 2 cups rice cooked (400g)
  • – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Italian Seasoning
  • – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
  • – salt and pepper
  • – 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded (200g)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting off the tops of the bell peppers and removing the seeds and membranes from inside.
  2. In a medium pan on medium-high heat, pour in the olive oil and add the chopped onion. Sauté until it’s nearly soft.
  3. Introduce the ground beef to the pan and cook, breaking it apart, until it loses its pink color.
  4. Mix in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, cooked rice, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and some salt and pepper.
  5. Fill the hollowed peppers with the prepared mixture and arrange them in the air fryer basket.
  6. Set the air fryer to 360 degrees and cook the peppers until they become tender, approximately 10 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the peppers and continue cooking for an extra 2-3 minutes.
