Ingredients
- 2 rib eye steaks (bone-in, 12-16 ounce (397 g) s each)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 teaspoon (10 ml) s olive oil
- 4 tablespoon (60 ml) s butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) minced fresh herbs such as thyme, parsley or chives, plus more for garnish
Instructions
- Allow the steaks to acclimate to room temperature for 20 minutes. Warm up the air fryer to 400 degrees F for at least 10 minutes.
- Apply olive oil to the steaks with a brush. Add salt and pepper to both sides of the steaks for seasoning.
- Arrange the steaks in the air fryer, ensuring they are in a single layer without touching each other.
- Cook for 6 minutes on each side to achieve a medium level of doneness.
- As the steaks cook, combine the butter, garlic, and herbs in a small bowl, stirring well. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- After removing the steaks from the air fryer, let them rest for at least 5 minutes. Add a spoonful of the butter mixture on top of each steak.
