Description

Delightful orange knots made from refrigerated biscuits, coated in a sweet orange glaze, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) can refrigerated biscuits
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest (plus an additional 1 teaspoon for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll and cut each biscuit into four equal strips. Roll each strip into a long shape and tie them into knots.
  3. In a bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and one tablespoon of orange zest. Dip each knot into the mixture until well-coated.
  4. Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. While the knots bake, whisk together the powdered sugar, orange juice, and remaining teaspoon of orange zest to make the glaze.
  6. Once the knots are done, allow them to cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over them.

Notes

For a stronger orange flavor, add an extra teaspoon of orange zest into the glaze or butter mixture. These knots pair wonderfully with fresh fruit or a light yogurt dip.
