Description
Delightful orange knots made from refrigerated biscuits, coated in a sweet orange glaze, perfect for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
- 1 (16 oz.) can refrigerated biscuits
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange zest (plus an additional 1 teaspoon for glaze)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll and cut each biscuit into four equal strips. Roll each strip into a long shape and tie them into knots.
- In a bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and one tablespoon of orange zest. Dip each knot into the mixture until well-coated.
- Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the knots bake, whisk together the powdered sugar, orange juice, and remaining teaspoon of orange zest to make the glaze.
- Once the knots are done, allow them to cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over them.
Notes
For a stronger orange flavor, add an extra teaspoon of orange zest into the glaze or butter mixture. These knots pair wonderfully with fresh fruit or a light yogurt dip.
