- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) water
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce (ensure non-alcoholic version)
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown the beef cubes in batches, ensuring not to crowd the pan.
- Transfer browned beef to the crockpot.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
- Transfer onion and garlic to the crockpot.
- Add sliced carrots, diced potatoes, and sliced celery to the crockpot.
- Pour in the beef broth and water.
- Add the can of diced tomatoes with their juices.
- Season with salt, black pepper, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and a bay leaf.
